Youth
In 2007 PEDEC obtained funding for one year for a full time Youth and Community worker, mainly targetting the Youth Sector. Unfortunately our application for funding to continue to employ a Youth worker was rejected.
The resource library had, up till then, been mainly targeted at formal education so a collection of resources was researched that would be useful to Youth Leaders working in an informal setting. They cover the 7 interconnected themes of ESDGC:
- Wealth and Poverty
- Identity and Culture
- Choices and Decisions
- Health
- The Natural Environment
- Consumption and Waste
- Climate Change
ESDGC can help young people to face an uncertain future by giving them the skills to address a changing world, such as focusing on attitudes and developing values that enable them to take action.
