"Witness the World with New Eyes"
PEDEC runs film nights for the Community of Llanidloes. Where? At the PEDEC office just above the Great Oak Cafe. When? 1st Thursday of every month at 7pm. Called "Bringing the World to Your Eyes" each month a documentary on a world issue will be shown followed by discussion and Fairtrade Tea and Coffee. For details ring 01686 412 731.
July - September
PEDEC FILM NIGHT will not run over the summer months of July - Septmeber as Orla (our admin officer) is embarking on a trip to Ladakh in the Himalaya's to make a film about gender equality and environmental sustainability. It is a PEDEC funded project to raise awarness of the Millenium Development Goals: www.un.org/millenniumgoals. The film will be used as a resource for PEDEC and she will be available to present and show the film to organisations such as schools, universities, community centres and festivals.
